Okay, Macaroni KID Salem families! It is time to show our appreciation for our essential workers who help us get all around the city through the public transit system! National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is Tuesday, March 18 and is the perfect time to express gratitude for the bus and train operators and employees who run our public transit system and get many of us from point A to point B safely and on time.
The National Campaign for Transit Justice highlights some simple ways to show your appreciation:
- Simply say, "thank you!" in person
- Send an email highlighting an employee or give a positive personal story to info@cherriots.org
- Create a social media post and tag @cherriots on Facebook or Instagram sharing personal rider stories
- You can even make short video clips!
- Send a thank you card (download a thank you card here)
These are just some ways to express gratitude for our public transit employees! If you are a regular rider, I hope you find inspiration and take the opportunity to thank your local Transit Operator and Worker!
